Come Join Us For Washington State's Week to Worship and Pray at David's Tent in Washington DC
Location: 12th St. & Madison Dr. NW, on the National Mall, Washington, DC
Dates: April 26 – May 2, 2026.
For over 10 years, Jason Hersey and his amazing YWAM team have led nonstop worship and prayer for America on the Capitol Mall—through cold, heat, snow, hail, sleet, and rain. No matter what, the worship and prayer has never stopped! Now it’s our turn once again to lend our voices, songs, and worship to this amazing effort! We are looking for full worship teams, individual musicians, worship leaders, and prayer warriors to come with us to the nations capitol and join the team. David’s Tent is a non-partisan, non-denominational ongoing ministry of Youth With a Mission, that desires to see the will of God fulfilled in the USA.
This is a mission trip so all expenses and travel will be the individual’s and team’s responsibility. There are many options for accomodations including low cost arrangements that can include food and lodging for those who qualify, and our experienced leadership team can answer all of your questions and make sure your trip goes smoothly.
Of course there will be many opportunities for sight seeing and touring the nations capitol and surrounding areas.
The Washington delegation is led by Lisa Abeyta for prayer warriors and intercessors, and Doug Basler for worship teams and musicians. Lisa and Doug have extensive experience leading teams over the past several years. Shifts in the tent generally run 3 hours and cover most daylight hours and there are opportunities for overnight shifts as well for those who are willing. Jesus gave us a lot of things to think about in his time on planet earth, but he also gave us a lot of things to do as well. He commanded us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER, for example. He also commanded us to go into all the world and evangelize. Evangelize simply means to “announce the good news”, and it is good news that we can be forgiven and come into the greatest of all families, the family of God. There are many ways to do this but I love in the bible when he tells his servants to go out into the HIGHWAYS and BYWAYS and compell people to come in to his great wedding feast.
